Chia-Chee Kuan has a distinguished 20-plus year career developing unique intellectual property and building game-changing companies focused on networking technologies and enterprise data center / clouds. From early day pre-Internet TCP/IP standards development, to IP-based video streaming, to Wi-Fi security, to his current Multi-Cloud workload performance management, Mr. Kuan is a pioneering technologist who has been granted 16 U.S. patents. In addition to his addiction to innovate technically, Mr. Kuan has been an entrepreneur for decades in the Silicon Valley. His co-founded companies including AirMagnet and Precept Software have been very successful financially and acquired by industry giants such as Cisco Systems and Danaher Corporation for over $100M USD. Mr. Kuan has his fair share of his startup success and fumbles. To this date, Mr. Kuan is still in his startup pursue in the Silicon Valley raising venture capital funds, innovating disruptive technologies and dedicatedly running his company, Uila, to replicate success.Mr. Kuan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s in Information Engineering from National Taiwan University.Having founded and ran a few startup companies from scratch to blossom and some to the ground, Mr. Kuan will share his life lessons learnt through his decades of experiences. Besides the Dos and Donts in starting up businesses tactically and strategically, Mr. Kuan will also cover the ability to endure emotional highs and lows in order to survive and thrive. The talk is not about becoming a genius and build a billion dollar enterprise but a average everyday entrepreneur build a promising business and having fun doing it.

Tsai-Yi (Iris) Wu is the founder and idea generator of Ambidio. She studied medical technology at Taipei Medical University and has a Master’s Degree in Music Technology from New York University. Iris was listed on 40 Under 40 by Prestige, Asia’s Top 50 Rising Tech Stars by Tatler, and a TEDx speaker. She continues to believe in the relentless pursuit of creating different ways to experience sound.Making career decisions is not always easy and it can be harder when starting your own company inside the entertainment industry. In this session, Iris will share her story of how her life and career path changed to bring her to where she is now, and unveil some secrets of the film industry along the way. Come with questions about startup life, the media & entertainment industry, and even decision making tips when changing paths.

創業經驗與矽谷風雲:Dr. Hu will share his own Entrepreneurship experience in various startups, including a successful FinTechventure Ellie Mae, now a public company with market cap >$3B US and 1,600 employees. Also, Dr. Hu willprovide a glimpse into Silicon Valley culture to explain why Silicon Valley is leading the way into the hightech future. Lastly, Dr. Hu will provide some of his insights on the new digital resolution surrounding ABCD– AI, Blockchain, Cloud, and Data.
